Dr. Vinso taught finance at The Wharton School and the University of Southern California, and served as the Donald and Carol Jean Byrnes professor of finance and accounting at the University of Montana. He is the president of Financial Resources Management – a firm specializing in financial valuations. As well as being widely published, Joseph has provided expert testimony to the United States Senate; United States District Courts (California, Arizona, Montana, Michigan); United States Bankruptcy Courts (Pennsylvania, California); California Superior Courts; the District Courts of Nevada, Indiana, and Montana; the United States Tax Court; U.S. Corps of Engineers, Board of Contract Appeals; and the Tribal Court of the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes. Within the investment industry, Dr. Vinso previously was a Registered Principal (NASD) and Registered Investment Advisor (California, Nevada and Montana), and passed the Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65 licensing exams. Dr. Vinso has served on the SG Long Financial Board for over 10 years.

Community Involvement: Rotary Club of Missoula, past director; Rotary District 5390, chair and Court Appointed Special Advocates.

Education: B. Chem. E., from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York (1964); MBA from Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan (1970); Ph.D. in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan (1973).
